When you buy from us: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number and order details, so that we can process your order, deliver it, take payment and provide support. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.

When you contact us: your name, email address and the contents of your message, so that we can reply.

When you use the website: device and browsing data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies, so that the site works, stays secure and can be improved. See our cookies section below.

When you sign up to our newsletter: your email address, so that we can send you the emails you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

The Babi app stores the readings your devices produce, such as seat occupancy, alerts, and, for Babi Angel, temperature, oxygen level and heart rate. This data is used only to show it to you, to send the alerts you have set up and to reach the contacts you have added to your relay. It is associated with your account, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and never sold. Health related readings are treated as sensitive data and processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting your account.

When you add a contact to your relay you give us their name and phone number or email address so that we can reach them if an alert is not answered. Please make sure they are happy to be added. We use their details for that purpose only.

We process your data to perform our contract with you (your order and the app), to comply with legal obligations such as tax and consumer law, for our legitimate interests in running and improving the business and preventing fraud, and, for marketing emails and sensitive health readings, with your consent.

We share data only with the providers we need to run the business: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, delivery carriers, email and support tools, and the cloud service that hosts the app. Each of them may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also share data where the law requires it.

Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where that is the case we rely on safeguards recognised by UK and EU law, such as adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses, so that your data stays protected.

Order and payment records are kept for seven years to meet tax and accounting rules. Support messages are kept for two years. App data is kept for as long as your account is active and deleted within 30 days of you closing it. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

We use essential cookies so that the shop and checkout work, and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies that help us understand how the site is used and show relevant adverts. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on the site or in your browser.

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to take it with you in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Full details, and how to exercise them, are on our GDPR and your data page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or to your local data protection authority.

Our products are bought and operated by adults. The app stores readings about a baby on the parent's account and under the parent's control. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you by email or in the app.
